A short film called ‘Atmós’, made by local meteorologist Bruno Gonçalves who is known for his Meteofontes Facebook page and ExtremAtmosfera website, was named the ‘Best Under 5 Minute Film’ at the Oniros Film Awards in Italy.
The film was made using a time-lapse technique with 18,000 photos taken during a 10-day trip to the USA. The photos were taken in the notorious Tornado Alley, the name given to the area in the US where tornadoes are most frequent.
