Hotels in the Algarve saw their number of bookings remain very similar in March compared to the same month last year, dropping a very slight 0.1%.
Says hotel association AHETA, 53.7% of the region’s rooms were booked last month thanks to significant increases in the number of Swedish (+47.3%) and French (+20.5%) holidaymakers which made up for the drops in Spanish (-37%), Portuguese (-15.7%) and Irish (-12.9%) visitors.
