The announcement by national road authority Estradas de Portugal that the Almancil-Troto bypass would still be going ahead, following renegotiations with the concessionaire, was well received by the PSD/Loulé party. Leader Hélder Martins said the road was “fundamental” as it would “provide improved accessibility for all, including to the prestigious tourist resorts in the area”.
