March 23 marked the 29th anniversary of family-run Apolónia Supermarkets.
To celebrate the day, the company’s management team Avelino Apolónia and sons Paulo Apolónia and Eduardo Apolónia invited friends and customers to the Almancil store for a piece of cake and a glass of champagne.
Avelino Apolónia cut a cake, decorated in white and green, while Paulo Apolónia opened the champagne to the cheers of onlookers.
Customers had another reason for smiling, with a host of in-store special offers and a 5% discount on all purchases.
Open since 1983, Apolónia Supermarkets has developed from a 100sqm mini-market on the outskirts of Almancil, to now comprise two large modern high-end supermarkets in Almancil and Galé, as well as a large distribution facility and head office in Estoi.
