A baby gibbon was born on August 31 at the Lagos Zoo.
Although the sex of the new-born is still unknown, it has been decided by the zoo that if male, the baby gibbon will be called Paulo, or if female it will be named Cristina.
This recent birth marks the fourth birth of a gibbon, which are members of the ape family, at the Lagos Zoo.
