Two Portuguese libraries are included in a list of the most spectacular libraries in the world published by British newspaper The Telegraph.
Coimbra’s Joanina Library, which can be found in the grounds of the city’s prestigious university, is first in the newspaper’s picture gallery, while the Mafra Palace Library comes fourth. Both libraries date back to the 18th century and are filled with history.
