A young man and his four-legged best friend are calling for help to compete at the WUSV World Championship – described as the World Cup for German Shepherds – which will take place in Modena, Italy, between October 2 and 6.
Gonçalo Guerreiro, a 19-year-old dog trainer from Lagos, and his four-legged mate ‘Scar’ have achieved the necessary results they needed to represent Portugal and take part in the Class 2 Obedience competition that will be held at the event – but they need help to get there … and back!
Thus, in order to raise money to help pay for their travel expenses, skydiving company Skydive Seven has offered Gonçalo a voucher for a free skydiving experience – on September 15 – which will be the prize of a raffle that the young man is organising.
Gonçalo is an animal lover and is a dog trainer at his and his father’s dog training school, Instrução Canina, where they provide the “basic training” that many dog owners seek for their pets.
He has had three-year-old Scar since it was just 10 months old. Together, they hope to enjoy an amazing experience in Italy and hopefully return to Portugal as winners.
For €5, you can help Gonçalo and Scar, while also winning the chance to enjoy a free skydive.
“Anyone who wants to participate needs only to contact me, either by telephone or through the Instrução Canina Facebook page,” Gonçalo says.
