THE PSD leader, Marques Mendes, admitted on Saturday that his party is setting up a working group to carefully study the proposed TGV high speed rail link.
After renewed doubts being cast on the location of the proposed Lisbon International Airport, Mendes admitted that the group had been set up to make sure that the government wasn’t wantonly wasting public money on the TGV.
“Portugal is not a rich country, doesn’t have the money, the investment in the high speed train is enormous, and will cost us millions and millions of Euros,” he warned.
