A yacht anchored at Culatra Island off the coast of Olhão, belonging to an Irishman, was reduced to ashes this week following a gas explosion. According to the Captaincy of the Port of Olhão, the fire was started in the galley of the yacht where the owner had left a pan on a lit hob, which caught fire and caused the gas cylinder to explode. There were no casualties.
