Lagoa’s voluntary firefighters are to benefit from the €2,620 raised during the Midsummer Cocktail Variety Show held on June 20 in the city’s auditorium.
The majority of the funds (€2,000) will be used to buy equipment for the bombeiros while the remainder will go towards helping other local causes.
Event promotor Jenny Grainer said: “Sponsors All Saints Church and Lagoa Câmara would like to thank everyone for volunteering their talents and organisational skills.”
