REPORTS OF inspections made on Portuguese câmaras by the Inspecção-Geral da Administração do Território (IGAT), the national inspections authority, are now available in the Internet.
All cases were released for public viewing on the IGAT website, except those still under investigation and, consequently, constrained by the secrecy of justice laws.
This decision to release the information to the public results from the new government programme to simplify the public services and regulations, known as the SIMPLEX.
