Christmas is coming for the homeless cats and dogs of Aljezur. The Friends of AEZA are hosting a Christmas party at Hugo’s Bar on Vale da Telha on Saturday, December 15, from 7pm.
All funds raised will go towards AEZA, the association for environment and animal protection of Aljezur, a non-profit association whose main objective is to “provide abandoned animals decent conditions to live in, giving them shelter, food, care and veterinary care”.
A spokesman said: “We are coming to Christmas and, with it being a time of giving, we hope as many people as possible come along to support our cause.
“The more support we get, the more we can take care of the animals in the AEZA shelter, and ultimately help find them a loving home.”
There will also be a raffle for a large Christmas hamper and other prizes.
Tickets cost €10 (€5 for children aged 12 and under) and include a Portuguese/English buffet and musical entertainment. Children will each receive a gift.
