A MEDICAL student in Germany got some practical experience when she saved a baby tiger from choking at a zoo in Halle.
The cub ate a piece of meat that became lodged in its throat and the student came to the rescue.
“We got the piece out but he wasn’t breathing so I tried mouth-to-mouth and heart massage and after a few minutes he came to,” she said.
In honour of her bravery, the tiger cub was named after the student’s son.
