With a heartwarming photo posted on Instagram Dame Paula Rego, arguably Portugal’s most famous and successful contemporary painter, has announced she has recovered from Covid-19. The image shows the 86-year-old back at her easel, with the words “Working at home today after recovering from Covid”. Dame Paula has a museum dedicated to her art in Cascais but lives permanently in London.
