THE RUSSIAN Federation has paid off its total foreign debt to Portugal, says the Ministry of Finances and Internal Administration.
In all, the Russian government has paid off US 83.6 million dollars as had been agreed in a Mutual Understanding Memorandum signed by the finance ministers of the two countries on May 29 following an official visit by Portuguese Prime Minister José Sócrates to Moscow earlier this year.
