Lagoa has teamed up with AEDMADA, a regional association for the study and support of diabetes sufferers, by signing a protocol to help diabetic patients in the municipality. Ten resident patients will be aided and entitled to bi-weekly medical assistance according to their needs. The financial aid amounts to €1,500 per year in order to meet the costs of the care.
