Tomorrow (October 20), Tavira’s science centre Ciência Viva will host a guided course focusing on the culture, history and wildlife of Tavira. Participants will set off at 10am from the car park opposite the Tavira Gran-Plaza shopping centre and embark on a three hour journey to discover the natural riches of the town. Hikers will visit agricultural fields, the Ria Formosa marshlands, the Forte do Rato and the old tuna fishing museum. Cost per person is €5, or €10 for a group of three.
