A SWEETSHOP owner in northern Spain has found a one euro coin bearing the face of cartoon couch potato Homer Simpson.
The coin would usually show the head of King Juan Carlos but had been modified to look like the bald headed cartoon antihero.
The sweetshop owner, Jose Martinez, from Aviles, told Reuters news agency: “The coin must have been done by a professional, the work is impressive”.
Martinez has already been offered 20 euros for the coin, although he has not accepted this offer yet.
