Dying to vote

A 64-year-old Faro resident probably checked his pulse after being denied the right to vote in the recent local elections because Sé parish council thought he was dead. According to the council, the National Elections Committee sent a letter to the man which was later returned, allegedly because he had passed away. “This is ridiculous,” said the man. “They call the deceased to vote but do not let the living vote.”
