Payment of fuel expenses incurred by the Bombeiros is being made earlier than expected by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Payments, to the tune of €1.3 million, refer to the months of July, August and September.
The ministry will also consider payment of additional expenses incurred during the summer fires. These include car repairs, equipment damage and food expenses.
Payment will be made on October 15 rather than in December, as is usually the case.
