Easier IT access

THE PORTUGUESE Government began the process of delivering 5,000 computers to 18 districts in Portugal at the weekend.

The initiative followed the creation of a fund to enable more Portuguese people to have access to a computer and the internet. The fund primarily is aimed at 10th year students, primary and secondary school teachers.

The computers began being distributed in the district of Lisbon, followed by Évora, Viseu, Portalegre, Coimbra, Guarda, Leiria, Santarém, Vila Real, Bragança, Porto, Castelo Branco, Setúbal, Braga, Viana do Castelo, Aveiro and Faro.
