CASINO DO ESTORIL is starting a series of shows dedicated to traditional Fado on September 30.
Shows will be held every Sunday at 10pm until the end of the year. The O Fado Regressa ao Casino, Fado returns to the Casino, show will be performed by some of the best known Fado singers in the country.
Known as Quatro Cantos, the group includes names from the old school of Fado singers like Maria Armanda, Teresa Tapadas, António Pinto Basto and José da Câmara. They will perform on September 30 and October 7.
They will be supported by a multimedia show to create the environment of a typical Casa de Fado, a house of Fado, like those that exist in the traditional neighbourhoods of Lisbon.
The group will be followed by well known Portuguese guitar players José Nobre Costa, Francisco Gonçalves and Armando Figueiredo.
Tickets are available at the Teatro Auditório of the Casino do Estoril, at 15 euros and 12 euros.
