SPANISH GUARDIA Civil has seized 1,290 fake copies of Lacoste clothes being taken illegally from Portugal to Spain at the border with Fuentes de Onõro.
The goods, which had an estimated value of 116,000 euros, were discovered in a truck with Portuguese license plates.
The driver was interviewed by Guardia Civil and released shortly afterwards. According to Spanish authorities, the border of Fuentes de Oñoro is being increasingly used by smugglers.
