With both Leixões and Belenenses losing at home at the weekend, Olhanense’s destiny is still in their own hands.
Belenenses’ defeat means they are relegated. Leixões, four points below Olhanense, visit Olhão on Sunday kick-off 8.15pm and a draw will be enough to guarantee Premier League football in the Algarve next season whilst the visitors know they must win to have any chance of avoiding the drop to Division 2. Jorge Costa’s team has been dogged by injuries and suspensions and his squad is so depleted that he will be hard pressed to fill the substitutes’ bench.
