A fire broke out in the Bensafrim area of Lagos just before 1pm today (July 30) and two fire fronts are still being fought by more than 70 firefighters supported by 20 vehicles.
A resident of the area told the Algarve Resident that the fire was “half a kilometre behind Bensafrim to the east” and was burning an area of scrubland close to pine trees, which “could become a problem for firefighters”.
Two firefighting helicopters and two planes are involved in the operation.
