A FORMER fireman was arrested by Judicial Police (PJ) suspected of starting four fires in Porto between May 27 and August 8.
Allegedly, the 31-year-old’s arson attacks were a form of revenge for being kicked out of the fire service for disciplinary problems after 12 years.
According to one of his colleagues, he regularly visited them at the station up until a couple of days before the first fire was caused. He is currently in preventive custody, awaiting a court date.
