A group of 34 Norwegian and Swedish residents in the Portimão area organised a lunch to raise funds for a local children’s home on February 23.
The lunch, held at one of the couple’s home, raised €520 for the Lar de Crianças Bom Samaritano in Alvor. Norwegian homemade dishes and cakes were served.
Odd Skipstein told the Algarve Resident: “We are all so happy to be in this lovely part of Portugal that we felt we should assist a local charity. “We are very impressed by the dedicated staff at the Lar de Crianças Bom Samaritano.”
