Gnome place like home

A GNOME that was stolen seven months ago has been returned to its owner with a photo album and immigration stamps showing him on a journey across 12 countries.

Murphy the gnome is pictured in the album abseiling down a mountain, swimming in the sea, riding a motorbike and standing in a shark’s mouth.

The gnome was returned to his owner in Gloucester with a note saying his globetrotting was down to his having “itchy feet” and added “there is more to life than watching daily commuter traffic and allowing passing cats to urinate on you”.

The identity of the person responsible for taking Murphy is still unknown, the only clue to their identity is references in the letters to a person called “The Bear”.
