A German granny has been sent to prison after a lifetime of crime that stretches back 53 years.
The crime the 70-year-old was imprisoned for was for pick pocketing a woman 10 years her senior at a bus stop.
Police were first alerted to the woman in 1956 and had 55 criminal cases brought against her but none resulted in a prison sentence.
She has been charged 17 times this year alone for a series of petty thefts which include incidents at her nursing home where she is a resident.
Following the bus stop incident, authorities had had enough and issued an arrest warrant for the pensioner who even pick pocketed during a recent stay in hospital.
