A MILLIONAIRE businessman has returned his 3.6 million pound mansion, which he bought last year, to the bank because he fears it is haunted.
Anwar Rashid, 32, said that he and his family lived in fear after they began to hear screams in the corridors, shortly after moving into the 17-bedroom Clifton Hall in Nottinghamshire, which dates back to the Norman conquest.
Anwar Rashid also claimed that he and his wife saw apparitions and heard knocking on the walls, but that it was the sight of blood spots on their 18-month-old son’s bed clothes that made them decide to abandon the luxury home.
“We were like the family in the film The Others. The ghosts didn’t want us to be there and we could not fight them because we couldn’t see them,” he said.
