Out there in the fields Or running in the street
Where ever you are driving
These stray dogs you will meet
If they were human beings They could maybe get some help
But the locals think it funny
To throw stones and make them yelp
So if you see a stray
Who is hungry – frightened – lost!
Maybe you could help it
A fortune it would not cost
So if you could take it to the sanctuary It would not get turned away And the good deed that you have done Will help it live another day
