COIMBRA PJ is to raise awareness, provide information and advice on how to deal with potential sexual abusive situations on the internet to parents and teachers.
A new course, entitled On-line sex crime: Be aware, think and prevent, is being run by police specialised in this crime area.
“Our aim is to avoid children becoming victims of the type of illegal activities generally associated with use of the internet, mobile phones and new technology in general, such as threats, display of photos, defamation and so on,” explained Pedro do Carmo, the PJ’s deputy national director.
