Kitten born with two faces

A kitten with two faces was recently born in West Virginia, USA and taken to the vets after its mother refused to nurse it.

The kitten was diagnosed with diprosopus, an extremely rare condition that affects both humans and animals alike.

Both the kitten’s mouths operate independently, and the vets suspect each mouth has a separate oesophagus leading to the stomach.

‘Two-Face’ is doing well and seems healthy, despite the fact that other animals with similar conditions don’t usually survive long.

The kitten’s anatomy will be examined in greater detail to find out its long-term prospects for survival.

Vets currently estimate a 50% long-term survival chance.
