Dear Editor,
The nature area problem in Lagoa is very easy to solve. Why is the Câmara looking for a complex solution?
1) Any good landscape architect with environmental experience could plan it properly, with nature/habitat at the forefront. This would make the area pleasant to shop in, help tourism and residents and improve Lagoa’s image. Or …
2) Sonae, the owners of Modelo and much more, could give it to Lagoa, a gift, provided it is in good, wildlife management hands. Think of the publicity, good will and an alternative spot could be found, I am sure.
Though why Lagoa needs another supermarket is beyond me … I’m aware of five large ones in the town.
