The largest reforestation project ever to have been initiated along the Serra das Meadas in Lamego has just been given the go-ahead to revive the “green lung” in the area, devastated by forest fires over recent years. The municipal authority will be planting out oaks, birches, pine trees and ash to a tune of over €188,000.
