INTERNATIONAL TOY store Toys ‘R’ Us is recalling around 160,000 vinyl bibs made in China with a high lead content from Portuguese outlets.
The company said the Hamco bibs, which were being sold with brands such as Koala Baby, Especially for Baby and Disney Baby, have been removed from the shelves, and stores have been reimbursing customers who have purchased these toys.
Products such as these could have caused children serious health problems, as levels of metal were found to be well above the internationally recommended limits.
The Resident contacted several other toy retailers and none stock the items mentioned.
