Dear Editor,
I see that your correspondent, Christine Brody (Algarve Resident November 23), was aware that there was a national strike on November 14 when she flew out of Faro Airport. She may have been unjustifiably unfair to easyJet, when commenting on the lack of services for elderly/disabled travellers, in that ‘special assistance’ is provided by ANA (or a contractor) and I guess such operators would have ‘withdrawn their services’ on a strike day.
I have no connection with easyJet, but use their services at least twice a year on round trips and found their staff remarkably friendly and helpful even before I was in need of special assistance…
