The new border dividing Loulé and Faro is now official, after publication in the Diário da República. The new law establishes territorial limits between the two municipalities, and settles the question of a lengthy dispute over town borders. The confusion affected the lives of around 850 residents, who had problems with receiving mail, registering to vote, licensing buildings or construction works, and other issues.
