The first Festival do Cante, song festival, takes place in Moura, Beja, on August 25.
The event, organised by Moura Câmara, will celebrate, promote and dignify traditional Alentejo music.
The festival is part of the Animaverao 2007 programme which sees entertainment taking place every Saturday night in August throughout Moura.
