Nestlé to create 350 jobs in Portugal

Multinational food empire Nestlé has announced the creation of 350 job opportunities for people under the age of 30 in Portugal.

Marketing, sales, distribution and logistics are the areas the food company is looking to strengthen. The jobs will be located in either the company’s HQ in Linda-a-Velha, Oeiras, in one of the four factories or throughout 20 distribution centres spread across the country.

Nestlé announced back in July that it would be creating 20,000 new jobs around Europe by 2016 and that it would be hiring people under the age of 30.

“Investing in employment for young people is investing in innovation, talent and determination – which we consider essential characteristics to the future of any business,” said Nestlé’s Portugal director, Jacques Reber.

Those successful in their job applications will receive specific training coordinated alongside universities.

Nestlé’s initiative is supported by the Portuguese Institute for Employment and Professional Training (IEFP).
