A new campsite has been built in Alcaria de Odeleite, Castro Marim, by the Almada D’Ouro Clube, to cater to all caravannists and motorhomers, particularly foreign, seeking to holiday in the area.
The new campsite occupies an area of 2,756 square metres and has 12 spaces for camper vans, complete with individual tables and benches.
Visitors to the park will have access to water and electric supplies, hygiene facilities, a bar and a convenience store, which will sell traditional Portuguese products such as handicrafts and sweets.
Castro Marim Mayor José Estevens said: “The new park is an important element in Castro Marim’s strategy to promote tourism and development, which will enhance the attractiveness of the area and boost the local economy.”
