We are sad to announce that Siân Hughes-Roberts has passed away after being ill for some time.
Siân was a founder member of The Algarveans Experimental Theatre group, which started in 1991.
She was involved with many productions over the years, appearing most recently in our revue Flights of Fancy at Teatro Mascarenhas Gregório, Silves, in March of last year.
Siân was a former committee member and actively assisted in running the theatre group for many years. She appeared in, and directed, many shows and she also carried out virtually every job to help put on a show; from writing scripts, building and painting sets, making props and costumes.
You name it, Siân did it!
Our deepest condolences to Siân’s family and also close friends at this very sad time.
