PLAYSTATION 3 users in Europe will be able to record and playback digital TV on their console from next year.
Sony is launching a TV tuner which connects to the PS3, turning it into a personal video recorder to rival the likes of Sky+.
PlayTV will launch early in 2008 in the UK, France, Italy, Germany and Spain, with other countries to follow.
Recorded programmes can be streamed over a wireless internet connection to the PSP or transferred permanently to the console using a USB cable.
