Six burglary and drug trafficking suspects were arrested as a result of a GNR police operation in the areas of Almancil, Loulé and São Brás de Alportel on September 26.
To aid their efforts, the authorities were in possession of eight search warrants and two arrest warrants.
The two individuals targeted by the arrest warrant were taken into custody while the other four were detained on suspicion of drug dealing. The suspects are aged between 22 and 50.
GNR confiscated two cars, 31 mobile phones, an air gun and two non-firearm weapons, as well as various electronic devices such as laptops, tablets, an LCD TV screen, a GPS device, two cameras, a music mixing table and an iPod.
In terms of drug-trafficking equipment, the authorities seized 245 doses’ worth of hashish, two milling machines and a precision scale.
The GNR also confiscated jewellery, €952 in cash and some Moroccan money, as well as binoculars and equipment to climb into the victims’ houses.
