THE MAJORITY of online readers believe that controversy over a Spanish resort’s advertising campaign, which is marketing its apartments for sale as being located in the Algarve (El Algarve), is justified.

A total of 62 per cent of voters (nearly two-thirds) believe that ministers were right to criticise the resort for using the Algarve name, whereas 37 per cent of online readers feel the controversy in not justified and one per cent were unsure or did not have an opinion.
