August 5 marked the opening of an exhibition at Porca Preta art gallery, but it soon had to come to an end when the Monchique fire broke out nearby. “During the opening, we were surprised by the flames,” said organisers. “Luckily no one got hurt and the buildings of Porca Preta survived.” Now, a new date for the “relaunch” of the show by Brazilian painter Sílvio Rocha has been announced – August 19 at 4pm. A classical music concert by the Pereverzeva family will also be performed.
