Portugal remains the world’s ninth largest wine exporter, having sold three million hectolitres in 2017.
The data was revealed by the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (IOVW) on Tuesday in Paris, France.
Spain, Italy and France remain the world’s largest wine exporters, accounting for 54.6% of all wine exports.
