PORTUGUESE REAL estate companies and holiday resort developers were much in evidence at this year’s Salón de Inmobiliario de Madrid (SIMA), which ran between May 29 and June 2 in the Spanish capital.
Among the real estate companies were Cushman and Wakefield, Quintas de Óbidos, Caixa Geral de Depósitos, Sonae and Aguirre Newman. This year’s fair attracted 159,827 visitors, up 1.9 per cent on last year, of which 138,017 were members of the public and 21,810 were property professionals.
There were 800 exhibitors, of which a dozen were Portuguese or had Portuguese interests, aiming to sell more than 250,000 apartments, villas and houses in Spain, Portugal, Brazil, Latin America, Bulgaria and Romania.
“Without doubt, the Salón Inmobiliario is increasing in popularity year-on-year,” said Fair Director, Eloy Bohúa.
