Since Portugal’s frontiers started being heavily controlled on January 31, SEF (foreigners and borders agency) inspectors have detected more than 100 fugitives from justice. Explain reports, using a real-time application known as SEF Mobile, they have been able to check on the records of citizens attempting to cross from Spain to Portugal or vice-versa. Just last Saturday, three more ‘wanted’ citizens were detected, as well as a missing person and three vehicles at the frontiers of Valença, Vila Verde de Raia, Vilar Formoso and Castro Marim in the Algarve.
