NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC presented their first documentary filmed entirely in Portugal on Monday.
It featured the pioneering work being carried out at the Lisbon aquarium and detailed behind the scenes work, including how engineering and biology are combined to create different habitats in one of the most modern aquariums in the world.
Also filmed was the successful release back into the wild in April of a 3.5 metre Manta ray, which was caught on the Algarve coast in 2002.
